The Journal of Biological Science has a policy on publication charges. We use any fees to support reviewing and publishing articles.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

There is a charge of X for processing articles after they are accepted. This fee covers:

• Editorial handling and peer review
• Final publication
• Hosting and open access

Submission Fee

You do not pay to submit a manuscript. You can submit your work for review without paying anything.

When to Pay

You only pay the APC after your manuscript is accepted. We share payment instructions with the author at that stage.

Waiver Option

If you cannot pay the fee, you can ask for a waiver. We review each request on a case-by-case basis.

Additional Charges

There are no hidden charges. We clearly state all costs before publishing.
