IJRDO – Journal of Biological Science
offers guidelines to authors for preparing and presenting their manuscripts for publication in a well-organised manner. Adhering to these instructions will help facilitate the review process and enhance the quality of papers.
Manuscript Preparation
Before you submit your manuscript, please check that:
- The manuscript is unique and unpublished
- The language is simple and easy to understand
- The manuscript is reviewed and approved by authors
- The manuscript is proofread for grammar, spelling and format
- Data and results are accurate and presented correctly
- Biological research ethics are adhered to
File Format
Submissions should be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
- Keep the formatting simple and consistent
- Tables, figures and images must be titled
- Biological terms, symbols and units must be consistent
Manuscript Structure
The manuscript should contain the following elements:
Title Page
- Title of the paper
- Name(s) of author(s)
- Institutional affiliation(s)
- Corresponding author's contact information
Abstract
- Short description of research
- Should state the objectives, methods, and conclusions
Keywords
4 to 6 relevant keywords
Main Content
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Results or Findings
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
References
- List all cited sources clearly
- Use a consistent citation style
Submission Process
- Create (or log into) a journal user account
- Click on “New Submission” and upload your manuscript
- Include any necessary supporting documents
- Submit a brief cover letter outlining the significance of your paper
- Authors are able to check the status of the manuscript via their account
Ethical Requirements
Authors must adhere to publishing ethics:
- Properly cite sources
- Do not plagiarise or submit duplicately
- Be accurate in reporting data and results
