Archiving and Preservation Policy
Digital Archiving & Preservation Policy
JRDO Journal is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, integrity, and accessibility of its published scholarly content.
To support this commitment, IJRDO – Journal of Biological Science utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) , a distributed digital preservation service developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for journals operating on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Through PKP PN, published articles and associated metadata are securely archived to support reliable and continued access to the scholarly record.
The PKP Preservation Network preserves journal content across multiple independent and geographically distributed preservation nodes. This distributed archiving model helps protect published content against data loss, technical failures, website disruptions, and other risks that may affect the availability of online journal content. It supports the durability, integrity, and long-term accessibility of research published in the IJRDO – Journal of Biological Science.
Key Features of the Archiving System
- Long-term digital preservation of all published articles
- Secure and distributed storage across multiple preservation nodes
- Protection against data loss, system failures, and platform changes
- Continued accessibility of content even if the journal website becomes unavailable
Repository Policy
In addition to the preservation measures described above, the journal maintains a dedicated online repository through its official website. All published articles and associated journal content are retained and made accessible through the journal’s website archive. The repository supports continued access to the journal’s published scholarly record and facilitates the retrieval of current and previously published content.
This preservation policy reflects the commitment of the IJRDO – Journal of Biological Science and IJRDO Journal to internationally recognized practices in scholarly publishing, digital preservation, and research integrity.
